Marketing Coordinator (1008-01)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: In this position you will be responsible for providing support to the Vice President of Marketing and other members of the marketing department in the coordination, planning, implementation and improvement of marketing programs and events. These activities will include, but not be limited to, employee training programs, sales meetings, medical meetings and physician training sessions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, with at least two years of professional business experience in a project orientated position required. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail orientated and have the ability to manage large and small scale meetings and training programs. Must have the ability to work closely with internal and external personnel while providing support in a timely, detailed manner. Strong aptitude and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint. Travel to out-of-town training and meeting locations is required, not to exceed 10% of the time.

Equipment Maintenance Technician (1007-01)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: In this role you will be working independently or with another Equipment Maintenance Technician to assist in the day-to-day operational repair and maintenance needs supporting the production of medical devices. You will operate and maintain a small tooling/model shop which supports engineering and manufacturing needs. You will also diagnose, repair and install manufacturing equipment and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, facilities and controlled environments.
Requirements: Two year technical degree and two years of experience or five plus years experience in a manufacturing environment performing the listed operations. The successful candidate will have various machine tool experience (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.), electro-mechanical experience, strong ability to multitask, possess organizational skills, problem resolution skills and have a “can-do” attitude. Computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge and excellent written and oral communications skills are also required.

R&D Engineer (1007-02)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: We have a wonderful opportunity for an R&D Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and verification of Vascular Solutions’ new product concepts.
Requirements: BSME/Biomed or related field with at least two years experience in medical device product development. Your individual contribution to projects, meeting deliverables, and your ability to think on your feet will spell success! We will also look to you to be familiar and understand various materials and processes such as extrusion processing, injection molding, machine shop operations, fixtures and tooling, adhesive and thermal bonding for catheter fabrication. Prior project management and the ability to research new technologies and implementation are essential. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Statistical programs is required, AutoCAD is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong understand of ISO9000, FDA and GMP are essential.

Sr. R&D Engineer (1007-03)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: Vascular Solutions is in search of a seasoned, hands-on Sr. R&D Engineer best described as a “been there and done that” go-to person . We will look to you to lead all facets of the design, development, and verification of Vascular Solutions’ new product concepts, and transfer product designs and processes to manufacturing in and organized and methodical manner.

Western Regional Specialist- (1007-12)

Location: Southern California
Responsibilities: In this position you will facilitate sales growth by driving clinical product deployments, conducting physician training and account in-servicing on VSI products within the Western States region. You will also provide clinical support to the company’s sales representatives in the region. This position requires extensive travel with overnight stays.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or related field, with a minimum of 1-3-plus years of working in a cardiac cath lab. Preferred candidates would have prior experience with physician product training and group presentations, and hands on experience in angiographic/interventional procedures.

Facilities Associate (1006-07) 2nd Shift

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: In this role you will be following the direction of our Maintenance Technicians for light maintenance as well as being responsible for the routine daily cleaning of our facility including our environmentally controlled room. Your flexibility and attitude that no job is too big or too small will help ensure your success.
Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent and two years experience of janitorial, light maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a medical device facility. GMP/ISO awareness and clean room or controlled environment experience preferred. The ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures and processes in the English language, accurately document records is required. Good interpersonal skills are essential.

Clinical Specialist (0901-04)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Are you a RN or Cath Lab professional looking to break into the medical device industry?
Responsibilities: We have a unique Minneapolis-based position calling for your Cardiac Cath Lab expertise! The successful candidate will train physicians and employees, assist R&D in new product development and provide clinical expertise on a wide range of projects.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, success driven, high-energy individual who enjoys a fast-pace, focused environment. A minimum of two years hands-on Cath Lab experience is required. BS in Nursing or related discipline preferred. Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability for quick strategic thinking and comfort in presenting to small groups required. International and domestic travel required.

Sr. Process Development Technician (1005-06)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities: In this position, you will be responsible for process development and qualification as well as building prototypes and validation units for a medical device manufacturer. You will also be responsible for generating equipment files including maintenance requirements, IQ protocols and reports. In addition, you will participate in process development activities including, but limited to, identification of equipment and fixture requirements, determination of appropriate process parameters, and process input/output assignments.
Requirements: Associate degree in engineering or physical science plus two years relevant experience. Comparable skills and knowledge acquired through five or more years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise related to metallic and polymer processing. Adhesive bonding, forming, thermal bonding, insert molding and soldering experience required. Experience in a medical device industry and a controlled environment is required as well as good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities: VSI will rely on you to assist in the design and implementation of training programs for internal employees, sales reps and physicians.

Responsibilities: Gain market share by promoting, selling and servicing Vascular Solutions’ products within an assigned territory.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-plus years of medical sales experience selling physician preference products in a hospital environment. Must have demonstrable success in previous employment(s) indicating repeatedly reaching high levels of sales performance. Prior sales experience in cardiology market with established physician relationships is preferred.

Assembler(s) (0010-Assembler Pool)

Location: Minneapolis, MN
First shift 6 AM to 2:30 PM (Hourly - nonexempt)
Responsibilities: This position will work in an environmentally controlled room setting where good teamwork and interpersonal skills along with active participation in problem solving activities are valued. We will depend on your ability to assemble small catheters ranging from individual component assembly to final packaging per standard process and quality specifications to achieve stated goals of yield, quantity and thru-put time.
Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. The ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures and processes in the English language, accurately document production device history records, good hand-eye coordination, ability to operate automated/advanced equipment and tooling, understanding of basic math functions and measuring, inspecting equipment using microscopes, calipers etc. are required. Good interpersonal skills both written and verbal are required. Prior experience working within a team manufacturing environment and medical device company is preferred.
