Specialty Guidewires

The VSI Guidewires are specialty guidewires for interventional procedures. They are available in various configurations with diameters of 0.018", 0.014" or 0.035".
Our 0.018" guidewires feature soft, flexible stainless steel or highly radiopaque platinum coil tips in a variety of lengths, and have a core-wire design for flexibility and pushability with stainless steel or nitinol mandrels.
Our 0.014" guidewires are 50cm in length for specialty use. They also have a nitinol mandrel for extra support and an extremely floppy stainless steel tip.
The Axis guidewire is a 0.035" specialty guidewire with the advantages of an ultra-floppy tip and an extra firm shaft. The heavy-duty proximal shaft provides support and pushability, while the highly flexible 9cm or 12cm tip facilitates atraumatic access and device placement. The Axis guidewire is available in lengths of 90cm, 145cm, 180cm or 260cm.
The Jiffy guidewire is an 80cm 0.035" guidewire that offers the benefits of both a straight floppy tip and a 3mm J-tip all in one guidewire. The 80cm working length provides control and eases wire manipulation for access procedures, while the 10cm graduated tips facilitate atraumatic access and device placement.
The 0.035" and 0.038" Amplatz SST guidewires feature a super stiff core for added strength and increased support. The radiopaque tip provides enhanced visibility, while the PTFE coating facilitates enhanced device tracking. The Amplatz SST guidewires are available with straight and modified J tips.
Our comprehensive line of highly torqueable VSI Tru-Torque 0.035" guidewires feature excellent torque response for steerability and a radiopaque tip for enhanced visibility. All VSI Tru-Torque guidewires come packaged with a torque device and are available in various lengths with standard, floppy and modified J tips.
The Muskie Guidewires are a line of 0.014” guidewires with a range – 3g to 12g – of distal tip stiffness that allows physicians to select an appropriate guidewire for crossing highly stenosed lesions. The Muskie guidewires have a one piece core construction that is designed to transfer torque transmission from the proximal portion of the guidewire to the distal tip, which offers precise control. The Muskie guidewires are available in lengths of 195cm or 300cm.
